Opened in 2003, the Foreign Textbook Library is the only library in Korea that specializes in textbooks. The library’s collection consisted of over 3,500 books when it opened. As of June 2011, it held 14,000 titles, including 9,200 foreign textbooks from 98 countries, as well as textbook related research reports and educational policy data.

Reading and Borrowing Staff and faculty of the Academy of Korean Studies may check out materials from the library, but those not associated with the Academy can only view the materials while at the library.
Loans and Returns The status of books is managed through a personal ID number assigned by the Library, thus ensuring that books and other reference materials are returned by the due date.
Viewing Your Personal Account and Renewing Materials Using the Personal Information Management button at the upper right side of the Search page, you can check your account and renew books for up to 15 days. Renewals will be permitted as long as the items on loan are not already overdue.

Photocopying After filling out the photocopy request form, you may use the copying machine in the library. ※ Photocopying of the Library's collection without permission constitutes an infringement of the Copyright Act. Portions of the material (less than 49 pages per book) may be photocopied for research and study. Responsibility shall be borne entirely by the person requesting photocopy services.
