    Understanding Korea

The Center’'s mission is to promote a better understanding of Korea to the world. The Understanding Korea Project carries out this mission two ways. First, the Center collects and analyzes textbooks from around the world to ascertain the image that is being presented of Korea. Second, the Center develops materials that introduce Korean history, culture, and society in a variety of languages. Other Understanding Korea Project activities include seminars, fellowships, colloquium, and financial support. All of these activities are meant to improve Korea’'s image while promoting mutual understanding and friendship.
