 ▪ Jan.  :   Council was founded for project to correct fallacies about Korea

 ▪ Apr.  :   Project was transferred to the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS)

 ▪ Sep.  :   The Ministry of Culture and Information took charge of the project, while textbook
                 analysis was assigned to the Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI)

 ▪ Jan.  :   KEDI set out to analyze foreign textbooks 

 ▪ Jan.  :   KEDI formed International Research Team for Comparative Textbook Analysis.
                This was later renamed the International Research Center for Comparative 
                Textbook Analysis; the Research Team of Understanding Korea; the Research 
                Team to Correct Fallacies about Korea; and most recently, the Research Center 
                for International Education and Information

 ▪ Dec.  :   The Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development (MOE) assigned to
                 KEDI the Measures against Distortion in Japanese History Textbooks and the
                 Understanding Korea Project

 ▪ Feb.   :   MOE transferred the project from KEDI to AKS 
▪ Mar.    :   AKS set up CIKC

 ▪ Mar.   :   The Center for International Promotion of Korean Culture expanded 
                 and reorganized to become CIKC 

 ▪ Jan.   :   International Support Project expanded

 ▪ Jan.   :   Global Forum on Civilization and Peace expanded
