The Division of International Support for Korean Studies at the Center provides variety of research funding opportunities for Koreanists outside Korea. The Division supports world-class research that furthers our understanding of Korea and related topics.

Funding opportunities are as follows;
(a) Visiting Lectureship: We send selected lecturers to overseas universities, college, and research institutions for Korean Studies classes.
(b) Competitive Research Funding: This program is bottom-up research support program for all fields of studies about plan about Korea.
(c) Workshop and Conference Support: We support conferences, workshop and seminar about Korea.
(d) Scholarly Journal Support: We aid in publishing academic journals about Korea.
(e) Distinguished Paper Award: We reward international scholars who publish outstanding research papers about Korea in the respected publications.
(f) Publication Subsidy: Subsidy for publication related with Korean Studies in the respected publisher.
We normally call for proposals at the beginning of every year. All submitted proposals are peer-reviewed with high standards.
